Who is responsible

PrepNow is run by Thomas Rosenberg (CVR 46801822), the data controller for the information processed about you. Write to kontakt@prepnow.dk with any questions.

What stays on your phone

Your reminders. Everything else you enter is also stored on our server (see below), so it can follow you to a new phone.

A MobilePay number in Madklub is stored only on the phone and never sent to us.

You can delete your history under Goals, and everything is removed when you delete the app.

Allergies and diet

Exclusions such as lactose, gluten, nuts or shellfish may count as health data. We only use them to filter out dishes, and only because you chose them (your consent). You can remove them at any time under Profile.

What we store on our server

The app gets a random user ID the first time you open it, also without an account. Under that ID, your settings (the name you entered, the household with names and goals per person, your goals and setup answers, exclusions, stores, regular items, purchases on the list, ratings, favourites, weekly check-in answers and plan history) and how you use the app (for example which dishes you open, swap and rate, tied to the user ID) are stored with our database provider Supabase on servers in the EU (Frankfurt). We use this to keep a copy of your settings and to make your meal plans better. Combined across all users and without names, ratings and favourites decide which known dishes come back in the coming weeks. The legal basis is our agreement with you to provide the app.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we also store your e-mail or the ID they give us, so your data can follow you to a new phone.

If you delete your account under Account, everything on the server is deleted at once, and everything on the phone.

Student price

If you choose the student price, we send a code to your student e-mail through Supabase in the EU. Once you enter it, we store the address on your account with when it was verified, so we can give you the price and verify it again after 12 months. The e-mail stays on the account until you delete it.

Family

If you are in a family, we store with Supabase in the EU who is in it, the name you entered in the app, and your shared document: settings, this week's plan, swapped dishes, the shopping list and what has been bought, your own items and snacks. Everyone in the family can see it.

To make sure the family lives under one roof, we store a one-way fingerprint (a salted hash) of your home network's public internet address, and when each phone was last on it. The address itself is not stored, and we cannot see where you live. The legal basis is our agreement with you to provide Family.

If you leave the family, or it ends, your membership is deleted at once; if the family ends, the shared document and the fingerprint are deleted too.

Payment

Subscriptions are bought and paid through Apple or Google. We never see your card details, only whether your subscription is active. We use RevenueCat for this.

If you cancel Pro, we ask why. Your answer (the reason, anything you write, and whether you stayed or stopped) is stored under your user id at Supabase in the EU so we can improve the app. Only we can read it, and it is deleted with your account.

AI and meal plans

Meal plans are made by an AI model from Anthropic based on the week's deals. The weekly plan is made once for all users and contains no information about you; we send nothing about you to Anthropic. Your own week is picked by the app from the finished dishes, based on your answers.

Statistics and reminders

There are no ads in PrepNow, and we do not use an advertising ID.

Usage statistics (which screens and dishes you use) are stored under your random user ID, not your name or e-mail, and used to improve the app and your plans.

Reminders are off until you turn them on under Settings.

How long

Information on the phone stays there until you delete it or the app. Account data is kept while you have an account and deleted no later than 30 days after you delete the account under My account.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your information, to restrict processing, to receive your data and to object. Consent can always be withdrawn. You can download your data yourself under My account → Download my data and delete it under Delete account. Write to us about anything else and we will reply within one month.

You can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, datatilsynet.dk.

Children

PrepNow is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
